Large Volume Printing
The Group’s unique capabilities in fast turnaround printing value chain and its large geographic network have caught the eyes of large volume publishers, who see the importance of harnessing speed and multiple locations printing to remain competitive. International companies publishing large volumes for both local and global markets begin to shift their printing business models towards new markets where they can find more competent service providers.
Xpress, with its well recognised reputation for fast turnaround time-sensitive print capability, finds itself well positioned to serve this rapidly growing segment, especially in the PRC. Xpress’ penetration in this large volume print segment enjoyed steady, healthy growth over 2005-2007. Customers in this segment typically have print run volume of over a few hundred thousand copies and would seek suppliers like Xpress to stay competitive - by using the best combination of fast turnaround experience, service quality control, reliance on split printing and an efficient delivery logistics network.
Xpress’ immediate focus for growth in large volume printing will be in the enormous PRC market. Large volume printing in PRC will continue to enjoy huge growth driven by PRC’s strong economic development and higher GDP per capita; this will fuel new demands for mass marketing, and consumption of newer, modern and wider range of products and services. This in turn will increase the demand for sales and marketing collaterals such as commercial brochures, magazines, journals, textbooks, gift catalogues, and other educational items. This segment is poised for strong growth in the next 3 years. The printing capacities available from our Authorised Printers will provide strategic advantage to fulfil these jobs, which in turn will benefit the performance of the Xpress Group.
With the expansion of Xpress Print Stations network to more untapped markets and our “unrivalled” split printing capability, Xpress will promote large volume print services to the Group’s large growing customer base by being able to deliver “where the customers want”.
