Xpress Holdings Ltd (“Xpress” or the “Group”) began as an instant name card printer in 1986.
Right from the beginning, unprecedented speed, accuracy and uncompromised quality were identified as the key differentiating attributes behind its business. With this code, Xpress invested and innovatively used information technology to enhance quality and reduce turnaround time of pre-press work. Very quickly, it became the printer of choice for the fast-paced financial institutions and established itself as a leader in this niche segment. It effectively set itself apart from the conventional printing industry – providing services at incredible speed with uncompromised quality.
In 1999, the Group was listed on the Mainboard of Singapore Exchange. Since then, Xpress has strengthened its one-stop print business model and expanded geographically to take advantage of the fast growing economic development in Asia. It made acquisitions in 2005-2006 in Precise Media Group and Shenzhen Jiaxinda Printing Co Ltd and created a strategic footprint in China. |
Planning ahead to stay competitive has always been key. One contributing success factor is Xpress’ commitment to invest in the information technology and state-of-the-art printing services that ensures efficient central monitoring and control of all print operations across its network - from pre-press to print to delivery fulfillment. This allows Xpress to effectively strengthen its position as a unique niche specialist of total print management solutions in the key markets of Asia, unrivaled by traditional printers.
In 2007, Xpress widened its market reach by strategically setting up Print Stations in the business districts of key cities. Locating itself “where customers are”, Xpress provides its clients with a complete range of print services that is convenient and easily accessible. The success of the Print Station concept led it to becoming a brand icon for Xpress, particularly in China, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Australia.
Xpress’ wide range of print-related services cover pre-press design, layout, typesetting, printing and post-press, letter shopping, |
as well as global distribution and delivery, catering to a comprehensive range of printing products for all industries - broadly categorized into financial and commercial segments.
The Group continued to expand steadily in 2008. It signed large print management agreements with major China media houses and publishers whilst adding three new Print Stations. The services of Print Stations triggered demands for a “new generation” dedicated On-site Print Stations that offer very convenient, efficient and cost-saving print solutions right within the client’s premises. These On-Site Print Stations enabled Xpress to gain a larger share of the region’s commercial clients requiring such dedicated services.
Today, Xpress has a network of 32 Print Stations spread across 19 major cities in the Asia Pacific region. With this network infrastructure, linked integrally by advanced telecommunications and supported by a new ERP system, the Group is set to expand further in its global reach. |
